The Opportunity
Med/Surg nursing in a high-volume acute care environment builds careers. This full-time nights position places you inside a 290-bed Level II Trauma Center on Florida's Gulf Coast — a facility with a nationally recognized Heart Institute, more than 350 on-staff physicians, and the kind of clinical complexity that sharpens skills and opens long-term doors. Four positions are currently available.
This is a nights-only schedule with rotating weekend coverage. Day-to-day, you will be assessing and managing Med/Surg patients, administering medications per physician orders, educating patients and families on treatment and medication protocols, and maintaining accurate clinical records. The patient volume is real, the team is experienced, and the exposure you gain in an environment like this has direct value for where you want to go next in your career.
The facility is part of a large, nationally connected acute care network with strong benefits, retirement programs, and genuine pathways for internal advancement. This is a permanent staff position — not travel, not contract — which means stability, continuity, and the ability to build real relationships with the team around you. Relocation assistance is available on a case-by-case basis for the right candidate.
Florida RN licensure is required. Compact licensure is accepted with the condition that an active Florida RN license is obtained within 90 days of hire. A nursing diploma or ASN is required; BSN is preferred. Current AHA Basic Life Support certification is required. Acute care experience is strongly preferred — applicants with recent LTAC experience only will not be considered for this role. Strong critical thinking, clear communication, and solid clinical documentation skills round out the profile. On-site interviews are required.

The Package
Why Hudson?
Hudson sits along Florida's Gulf of Mexico shoreline in Pasco County, roughly 40 miles north of Tampa. It is a genuinely coastal community — boat ramps, marinas, and waterfront dining are a normal part of daily life here, not a weekend excursion. The Gulf on this stretch is calm and warm year-round, and the climate gives you outdoor living options in January that most of the country can only read about. Florida's zero state income tax means every paycheck stretches further here than it would in most other states — a real advantage for anyone doing a serious cost-of-living comparison before making a move.
Pasco County runs at a lower cost of living than the neighboring counties to the south, and Hudson itself has the kind of unhurried pace that Tampa and St. Petersburg gave up a long time ago. For families, the area offers solid schools, a genuine neighborhood feel, and room to breathe without sacrificing access. Tampa International Airport is about 45 minutes south, and the full Bay Area — professional sports, arts, dining, and one of the country's strongest job markets — is easy driving distance when you want it. Whether you are drawn by the water, the lifestyle, or the financial upside of making Florida your permanent home, Hudson tends to be the kind of place people stay once they arrive.
