The Opportunity
Aventura, Florida is home to one of the region's most respected Level II Trauma Centers — a 467-bed acute care hospital with a strong program and the senior leadership infrastructure to match. This is a full-time, permanent Director-level role built for an experienced trauma leader who is ready to take full ownership of a high-functioning program. You will work in close partnership with the Trauma Medical Director and hospital leadership to deliver exceptional patient outcomes, maintain regulatory compliance, and drive ongoing trauma center designation and re-verification efforts. One opening. Days only. No weekends.
A sign-on bonus is available on a case-by-case basis, and relocation assistance is negotiable for the right candidate. Compensation is competitive based on experience. This position offers the stability and resources that come with a nationally recognized health system, alongside a direct reporting line to the AVP of Trauma and the facility CNO/CEO. Senior leadership is engaged, organizationally invested, and present — this is not a program where the Director operates without support.
Candidates must hold an active Florida RN license or a recognized compact license that meets Florida's ongoing eligibility requirements. A BSN is mandatory. Current BLS and ACLS certification are required at the time of hire. ATCN or TNCC must be obtained within six months of the start date; CEN or CCRN certification is preferred. A minimum of three years of professional nursing experience in an inpatient critical care, emergency, or trauma setting is required, along with a strong background in trauma system management. Candidates must have recent Director-level trauma program experience at a facility carrying a minimum of 400 beds — this is a firm requirement, not a preference.
If your background fits, do not wait. Apply through this page or book a short, confidential call and we will walk through the details before you take any next steps.

The Package
Why Aventura?
Aventura sits along Florida's Gold Coast, positioned between Miami and Fort Lauderdale in one of the most desirable residential corridors in the southeastern United States. The city is defined by its walkability, its proximity to the Atlantic, and a quality of life that draws professionals from across the country. Residents have immediate access to miles of clean beaches, Intracoastal waterways, and a year-round outdoor lifestyle that no Midwestern or northeastern winter can match. The surrounding area is packed with dining, entertainment, and cultural options that reflect the region's diverse, international character — world-class without the chaos of downtown Miami.
For families, the area offers strong school options across both Broward and Miami-Dade counties, and the suburban character of Aventura itself provides a quieter base than Miami proper while keeping the city's amenities well within reach. Commutes within the corridor are manageable, and Miami International Airport connects residents to virtually anywhere. Florida's lack of a state income tax is a meaningful financial advantage that professionals relocating from other states quickly appreciate. Whether you are looking for a waterfront lifestyle, a family-centered community, or simply a place where the winters are warm and the pace of life outside the hospital is genuinely good — Aventura delivers.
