RN Cardiac Neuro Tele (Med-Tele Unit)

Sanford, Florida Permanent Days & Nights, Rotating Weekends

    The Opportunity

This is a permanent staff RN position on a 27-bed Cardiac-Neuro Telemetry unit in Sanford, Florida — a role with real acuity and a clinical environment that builds your skills with every shift. Your patient mix spans Post-CAB, MI, chest pain, and acute neuro cases. Eight positions are currently open across day and night shifts, both rotating weekends only. NIHSS certification is built into onboarding, meaning you earn a stroke-protocol credential within your first 30 days on the job — one that strengthens your clinical profile well beyond this role.

The compensation package is competitive based on experience. Benefits include a 401(k) with 100% annual match — up to 9% of pay based on years of service — plus student loan repayment, tuition reimbursement, and paid personal leave. Auto, home, and life insurance options are available, along with adoption assistance and an employee stock purchase program. Relocation assistance is available on a case-by-case basis.

Candidates must hold an active Florida RN license or an approved multistate compact license. Compact license holders relocating to Florida have 60 days after arrival to obtain the Florida license. A minimum of one year of recent Med-Surg or Telemetry acute care experience is required — within the last one to two years. Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications are required at the time of hire. A Nursing Diploma or ASN is the minimum education requirement; BSN is preferred. NIHSS certification must be obtained within 30 days of your start date.

If this lines up with where you are in your career, apply now or book a short call. We'll walk through the details, the timeline, and what the onboarding process looks like for your situation.

    Why Sanford?

Sanford, Florida sits on the southern shore of Lake Monroe in Seminole County, about 25 miles north of Orlando. The location gives residents easy access to boating, fishing, kayaking, and waterfront dining without the pace or noise of a major metro. I-4 connects Sanford to the broader Central Florida corridor, and from there the options open up fast — Atlantic beaches near New Smyrna and Daytona are roughly an hour east, and the Gulf Coast is about two hours west. State parks, trail systems, and nature preserves fill out the outdoor recreation picture, and the climate supports year-round activity without a winter wardrobe.

The community itself holds up well for anyone making a permanent move. Seminole County's public school system is consistently ranked among the top in Florida, which makes this a practical choice for families. Downtown Sanford has seen steady revitalization over the past decade — locally owned restaurants, a marina district, and a neighborhood character that stands apart from the sprawl farther south. Florida has no state income tax, which adds up meaningfully over the course of a year, and housing costs in Sanford run well below what comparable Sun Belt cities or coastal Florida markets typically demand. For a nurse considering a long-term relocation, this is a market where quality of life and career opportunity genuinely align.
