The Opportunity
This is a staff RN role on a Medical Telemetry Neuro unit — the kind of position that builds real clinical depth and gives your career something concrete to stand on. Two openings remain, with both shifts available: 12-hour days and nights on a rotating weekend schedule. The acuity is genuine. Telemetry monitoring combined with neuro patients demands sharp clinical instincts, and the volume you'll work through here will show on your resume for years.
The benefits package is one of the stronger ones in the market. You'll have full medical, dental, vision, behavioral health, and telemedicine coverage from day one, along with PTO, paid family leave, and both short- and long-term disability protection. The retirement program includes a 401(k) with a 100% employer match on 3% to 9% of pay, scaled by years of service, plus an Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Education support is robust — tuition assistance, student loan programs, certification reimbursement, and dependent scholarships are all available. Relocation assistance is considered on a case-by-case basis. Compensation is competitive based on experience.
To be considered, you need a current RN license and a minimum of one year of recent, hands-on acute care Med-Surg experience. BLS and ACLS are required — both can be obtained within 30 days of your start date if not already current. An associate degree or nursing diploma meets the education requirement; a BSN is preferred.
Two spots are open and this type of unit moves off the board fast. If your background fits, apply now or reach out directly to set up a confidential conversation. We'll keep it simple and move at your pace.

The Package
Why Tallahassee?
Tallahassee tends to surprise people who haven't spent real time there. It's a true college town — home to Florida State University and Florida A&M — and that gives it a cultural energy that most state capitals simply don't have. The live music scene is active, the dining options run well beyond what you'd expect, and the pace of life is a genuine counterpoint to the coastal Florida grind. The canopy roads alone — ancient live oaks arching over winding two-lane routes through the hills — are something locals take pride in, and for good reason. Florida's lack of a state income tax means every dollar of your compensation stretches further here than it would in the vast majority of comparable markets, and that adds up fast over a career.
The surrounding landscape gives Tallahassee something rare for a Florida city: actual topography. You're close to Apalachicola National Forest, multiple natural springs, and a network of state parks built for hiking, kayaking, mountain biking, and trail running. The Gulf Coast is about 90 minutes away for weekend beach access. School quality throughout the metro is solid, and the cost of living — housing especially — is noticeably more affordable than Tampa, Orlando, or Miami. For anyone relocating from a higher-cost market, the difference is meaningful. Tallahassee is the kind of place where you can own a home, put down roots, and still have the financial breathing room to enjoy what you've built.
