The Opportunity
This is a staff-level Oncology RN position inside a 288-bed acute care hospital in Tallahassee, Florida — a fully equipped facility with a dedicated Cancer Center and a broad range of acute care service lines. If you have a Med-Surg background and you're ready to add oncology depth to your clinical profile, this opening puts you in the right environment to build it. The interdisciplinary team is collaborative, the scope of practice is real, and this is a permanent placement — not a contract.
One position is open. Shifts run 12 hours — Days from 7a to 7p and Nights from 7p to 7a, both with rotating weekend coverage. Shift differentials are available for nights and weekends. The nurse-to-patient ratio runs 1:5–1:6, which gives you the bandwidth to practice at a high level without being stretched thin.
The benefits package is comprehensive. Medical coverage includes many common services at no cost or low copay, with prescription drug and behavioral health benefits, free telemedicine, and free AirMed medical transportation included. Dental, vision, life, and disability options are available. The 401(k) carries a 100% employer match on 3% to 9% of pay based on years of service. Additional benefits include an Employee Stock Purchase Plan, education and tuition assistance, paid family leave, fertility and adoption support, and an Employee Health Assistance Fund. Compensation is competitive based on experience. Relocation assistance is available on a case-by-case basis.
Requirements: at least one year of recent acute care Med-Surg RN experience. A current Florida RN license is required — compact license holders have 60 days from relocation to obtain their Florida license. BLS certification is required at hire. ACLS is preferred and required within six months. BSN is preferred.
If this fits where you are in your career, apply now or reach out directly. A five-minute call is all it takes to get the full picture — and if the timing is right, we can move quickly.

The Package
Why Tallahassee?
Tallahassee doesn't get the attention some Florida cities do, and that works in your favor. As the state capital, it carries a different energy than the coastal resort towns — this is a working city with real neighborhoods, a strong university presence, and a food and arts scene that keeps growing. Florida State University and Florida A&M both call it home, which means there's a steady cultural current running through the city year-round. The cost of living is meaningfully lower than Miami, Orlando, or Tampa, and with no state income tax, your earnings go further here than most places in the region.
The outdoor lifestyle is accessible every month of the year. Tallahassee sits in North Florida's Red Hills region — rolling terrain, canopy roads lined with old-growth oaks, and easy reach of the Gulf Coast and the Apalachicola National Forest. Families have solid public school options alongside well-regarded private schools. The city is compact enough that commuting doesn't consume your day. If you're weighing a move that makes sense both professionally and personally, Tallahassee tends to surprise people who take a closer look.
