    In-House Coordinator

Florida Permanent Evenings, Weekends & Holidays — 24-Hour Availability Required

    The Opportunity

This is not a standard clinical role. As an In-House OPO Coordinator embedded directly within a hospital system in Florida, you will operate at the intersection of critical care, family communication, and life-saving donation outcomes. Your work directly influences whether families are offered the option of donation during the most difficult moments of their lives — and whether that option results in transplantable organs and tissue for patients waiting across the country. Coordinators who perform at this level consistently build a leadership profile that opens doors well ahead of peers who remain at the bedside.

The position is permanent, full-time, and staff-level. The schedule demands real flexibility: coverage includes evenings, weekends, holidays, and non-scheduled hours, with 24-hour cell phone availability required. Late-night callouts are part of the role. This position suits a clinician who thrives in an autonomous, high-stakes environment and takes ownership of outcomes without close supervision.

You will work within a close-knit, mission-driven team embedded in a hospital that values your presence on the floor. Daily responsibilities span clinical and family-facing work — unit rounding, physician and administrator collaboration, QAPI participation, referral evaluation, donor authorization conversations, medical record review, and case initiation duties. The breadth of exposure here accelerates professional depth in ways a standard clinical position cannot. Compensation is Competitive Based on Experience.

Candidates must hold a bachelor's or associate's degree in Nursing, Social Services, Allied Health, or a related field — RN, BA, BS, or AA — or an equivalent combination of education and hospital or OPO critical care experience. RN licensure is required; BSN is preferred. A background in acute care or critical care is strongly valued. The role also requires strong written and verbal communication skills, sound judgment, the ability to work autonomously with consistent communication, a reliable vehicle with a good driving record, and a current driver's license. Candidates must be able to lift and move equipment up to 75 pounds for a small portion of the workday.

If you are an RN or allied health professional with a critical care or acute care background ready to step into a role with real clinical scope and a clear trajectory toward leadership, this position is worth a conversation. Apply today or book a brief call to discuss your fit.

    Why Florida?

Florida delivers a quality of life that is genuinely difficult to replicate. The climate is warm and sunny for the majority of the year, which means outdoor activity is a daily option rather than something you schedule around difficult weather. Residents have access to world-class beaches, freshwater springs, nature preserves, and hundreds of miles of navigable waterways stretching from the Panhandle to the Keys. Fishing, boating, kayaking, and trail hiking fit naturally into the weekly routine here. The state's food scene has grown considerably — cities and coastal towns offer serious dining, farmers markets, craft beverage culture, and local arts communities that rival far larger metros.

For families and professionals weighing a relocation decision, Florida brings meaningful financial advantages: no state income tax, a cost of living that is competitive with similarly desirable coastal markets, and a healthcare job market that continues to expand. The state's growing and diverse population is reflected in school quality, neighborhood character, and community programming across its major regions. Families will find solid public and private school options in most metro corridors, reasonable commute infrastructure within regional hospital systems, and a pace of life that balances professional ambition with genuine downtime. Whether you are drawn by the water, the weather, the tax environment, or simply a fresh start somewhere you will actually enjoy living, Florida makes a compelling case for the move.
