    Director, Recovery Services

Georgia Permanent 24/7 On-Call Availability | AoC Rotation

    The Opportunity

This is a senior leadership role built for a clinician who is ready to own an OPO recovery operation end-to-end. As Director of Recovery Services, you will hold full operational accountability for a multi-disciplinary team that includes vascular transplant coordinators, organ placement coordinators, family care coordinators, surgical coordinators, and per diem staff. The mission is clear and the stakes are real — you are directly responsible for ensuring that every recovery activity is executed with precision, compassion, and compliance, from the moment a potential donor is identified through final placement. This is the kind of scope that defines careers and opens the door to VP-level advancement.

This is a full-time, permanent director-level position based in Georgia. The role operates on a 24/7 on-call model — you will carry availability via pager and cell phone and participate in the Administrator on Call rotation. The environment is team-oriented, the staff is experienced, and the expectation is consistent and accountable leadership rather than constant operational firefighting.

The organization brings well-established OPO infrastructure, defined protocols, and a quality-focused culture to support director-level leadership. You will work closely with training supervisors, medical directors, and senior leadership, with clear communication channels and genuine institutional backing. Compensation is Competitive Based on Experience. Sign On Bonus: $10,000.

Licensure as a Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant is preferred; equivalent clinical credentials with directly relevant experience will be considered. Candidates should bring three to four years of job-related experience alongside demonstrated leadership and staff management capability. A working knowledge of organ and tissue procurement, the consent process, and recovery protocols is essential. Direct experience driving QAPI processes in an OPO setting and fluency with regulatory frameworks — FDA, UNOS, CMS, AATB, AHCA — will set your application apart. A valid state driver's license and clean driving record are also required.

If this level of leadership is where you are headed, let's talk. Apply directly through this page or book a confidential call with our team to discuss the opportunity.

    Why Georgia?

Georgia has a way of earning loyalty from people who were not sure they wanted to move there. The state offers a quality of life that is genuinely hard to match — a low cost of living relative to most major healthcare markets, a diverse landscape that ranges from coastal lowlands to Blue Ridge mountain terrain, and a year-round climate that makes outdoor living practical rather than seasonal. Whether your priorities run toward hiking, golf, weekend trips to Savannah or the barrier islands, or simply a shorter commute and more square footage for the same money, Georgia delivers in ways that tend to surprise newcomers. The food culture has grown into one of the strongest in the South, and the pace outside the metro areas gives you room to breathe.

Families tend to land well here. School options are strong across many communities, particularly in the mid-size corridors where cost of living and quality of life align well for clinical professionals. Atlanta anchors the state's economic core and brings everything you would expect from a major city — an international airport, a full arts and dining scene, professional sports, and world-class medical infrastructure — while much of Georgia retains the affordability and pace of smaller-market living. For clinicians weighing a relocation, this is the kind of place where your income stretches, your career stays on track, and life outside work actually feels like yours.
