We’re hiring an experienced Trauma Program Director (TPD) to lead our State-Verified Level II Trauma Center in Salem, VA. At the forefront of regulatory compliance, trauma performance improvement, and survey readiness, this is a leadership opportunity for a nurse with vision, precision, and passion for trauma systems.

--Full-Time Schedule | No Weekends

--Compensation up to $176,900 based on experience

--9 FTE Trauma Team (Registrar, PI, Education, Prevention, RN Leads)

--Strong organizational infrastructure: HCA Health System with 105+ trauma centers nationwideInternal mock reviews prior to state/national surveys

What You’ll Lead:

--Survey & Regulatory Readiness: Lead all aspects of state and ACS readiness—next survey: April 2026

--Performance Improvement: Oversee PI metrics and trauma quality programs across departments

--Education & Community Outreach: Coordinate trauma nursing education and injury prevention programs

--Operational Leadership: Full oversight of staffing, reporting, budgeting, trauma registry, and interdisciplinary coordination

--System Engagement: Represent the trauma program on hospital and community boards and with external agencies

What You’ll Need:

--3+ years of RN clinical leadership experience in trauma, ICU, or ED

--Proven experience leading a trauma program and preparing for state or ACS survey

--Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required

--Current Virginia RN License (or eligible compact)

--Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC; CEN/CCRN within 2 years of hire

--Strong regulatory knowledge, survey prep, and multidisciplinary collaboration experience required
