What They Need
Education: A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent degree is required; a Master's Degree in Nursing or a related field is highly preferred.
Licensure: Active Registered Nurse licensure with the state Board of Nursing or a valid Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) multi-state license.
Certifications: Active BLS Healthcare Provider certification is required, along with a National Certification in a relevant clinical specialty or leadership within one year of hire.
Experience: A minimum of five years of recent nursing experience, including at least two years of demonstrated hospital leadership (such as Charge Nurse or Nurse Manager experience).
Clinical Background: A proven clinical background in post-cardiothoracic care is strictly required to successfully lead this specialized unit.
Availability: Ability to manage full-time day hours with rotating weekend coverage, alongside a manageable administrative on-call rotation occurring once every six weeks.
